There’s no bigger bummer than arriving at the trailhead on your day off and having to turn around because the lot is full (or worse, park creatively and come back to a ticket on your windshield).

Thanks to live webcams at the popular Coyote Ridge and Bobcat Ridge trailheads near Fort Collins, those days are over. Bobcat’s has been up since July 2017 and Coyote’s went live this past February, so you can check the parking lot from anywhere, at any time. Another live-feed unit is planned for the Reservoir Ridge Natural Area next year.

Rangers also check the web cameras multiple times per day to assist with planning patrols to heavily visited sites. Want even more real-time scoop? The city recommends checking NoCoTrailreport.org and the FC Natural Areas Facebook or Twitter pages for breaking updates.
